The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) has named Sami Ki senior manager of sustainability and product stewardship.

Ki comes to HCPA with more than a decade of experience in procurement and product development in the fashion industry, as well as a master of business administration in sustainability, with a focus on sustainable supply chains, waste reduction and circular models.

In his new role, Ki will be responsible for managing the association’s sustainability programs and tracking sustainability activities that impact the household and commercial products industry at the federal and state levels. She will report to Molly Blessing, vice president of sustainability and product stewardship.

“HCPA is committed to ensuring that the household and commercial products industry continues to move forward with practices that protect people and the planet, consider impacts across a product’s life cycle, and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” said Steve Caldeira, president & CEO, HCPA. “Growing the Association’s Sustainability & Product Stewardship department is one way we are proactively demonstrating this commitment to create cleaner, healthier, and more productive lives for all Americans. I am confident that Sami will champion the sustainability initiatives that we are currently pursuing and contribute meaningful expertise to driving innovation in this space.”

Sami previously worked as a senior manager of fabric/raw material sourcing operations at Madewell and an associate production manager at GAP. She holds a bachelor of business administration in design and management from Parsons School of Design and a master of business administration in sustainability from Bard College.
